Jaymi's class went on a field trip last week, to Safeway. It was a great trip. The man took them through each department (the favourite was the bakery section and the walk-in fridge & freezer). They got to eat a grape in the fridge, get a cookie from the bakery, and they all got a goodie bag at the end of the field trip.
My favourite 2 moments were:
1 - when one of the boys in the class, upon being shown the dessert section of the store, threw his hands up in the air and exclaimed, "We hit the jackpot!!".
2 - when the teacher heartily congratulated one of the boys who DOES NOT eat fruit, when he forced himself to eat a WHOLE grape! ;)
