Hannah and Jaymi

Hannah came by today to hang out with Jaymi. She is going to try babysitting at some point soon. They had a great time, playing pretend restaurant and enjoying each other's company.

Truck Light Parade

This past weekend we went to see our annual, local Christmas Truck Light Parade, where tons of companies decorate their trucks with Christmas lights and have a great parade to watch. It's always lots of noise, lights, and fun.

A Horse is a Horse...

A friend and I had the chance to photograph some horses (and goats and sheep and chickens) the other day, at a farm. My battery died very quickly and I didn't bring my back-up battery with me (duh!) so I didn't get many pictures before having to stop. I did, however get some decent shots before that happened, with my wide-angle lens.

Santa Claus Parade

Jaymi and her Sparks unit got to be in the little Santa Claus parade inside our little mall, this year. She loved it! They got to have a long chat with Santa, got a goodie bag, and of course, marched in the parade up and down the mall.

Friends

My daughter has made lots of friends in school this year, especially a bunch of new ones in the Gr. 2/3 class. She goes there for math most of the days of the week, and loves her new group of friends. Her favourite friend from that class is Kristin. They get along great, and they had a wonderful day together today.

Pausing to Enjoy the Beauty Around Me

It's always nice to go down to our local beach (Esquimalt Lagoon) and watch the wildlife there. The other day, a friend and I had the chance to go, and capture some moments with the swans and the beautiful fog that day. I brought my knee-high rubber boots and got right into the water, got some photos, and played around with them in photoshop later on.
