Beacon Hill Nature

There are so many beautiful parks and such beautiful nature to enjoy here. It was nice today, to get some free time and take a walk with a friend, and snap some photos.

Annual Pig Roast

Every summer we have a pig roast and bbq in our neighbourhood. We roast a pig, have lots of food with it, and swim in the pool.
The guys always seem to name the pig - Willy this year (short for Wilbur from Charlotte's Web).
The best part is the crackle (the crispy skin). And of course, having our friends there is always fun. As usual, the kids stayed in the pool for the whole day!

Happy Canada Day!

I'm a bit late posting this, but I wanted to catch up with some of my other pictures first.
Canada Day was on July 1st, and we had a great time.
In the morning we went to Fort Rodd Hill for the annual celebration.
Then we had a bunch of friends over to swim in our pool, and for a bbq dinner.
We ended up letting all the kids stay up late to watch the fireworks (we can see the downtown fireworks from our house) before everyone went to bed.

We all went out for breakfast together, went to the Strawberry Festival, a neighbour took her to Dairy Queen for ice cream, and then a playdate at home and some swimming, of course.

It's Swim Time!

We usually open our pool by June 1st. This year, because of Jaymi's sudden hospital stay, we delayed opening it until June 30th.
Since then, Jaymi has practically lived in the pool. Our neighbours have also enjoyed it, and are taking advantage of the warm weather here.
